Roundup you references

Save Your Sanity--Automate Your Reference List!

Tired of struggling to format the references for your research papers or other writing projects?  Having a hard time keeping track of all your sources?   EndNote and Zotero can rescue you!  Both of these programs, known as citation or reference managers, make the process of adding formatted references to your paper a breeze.  They also help you keep track of the references and articles and websites you find.   Check out the EndNote guide and the Zotero guide for help on how to use both of these tools.

Book Genie: What should you read next?

The Book Genie: Your book wish is its command!
If you're looking for some leisure reading, it's easy to find with the Book Genie! Make a wish and get a randomly selected recommendation from Oregon State University's Valley Library based on your subject of interest. Choose between banned books, OSU Press books, award-winning authors and many more.
All the books recommended are currently available in the Valley Library. When you find a book that looks interesting, save it to your Folder, and email or text it to yourself or a friend. Then you can use the call number and floor location to find the book at the Library. The Book Genie was made for smartphones, like the iPhone or Android phone, or the iPad and other tablet laptops, but can also be used on any device with a full Web browser.

Cite your sources

So you are searching in an article database, and you find the abstract for an article you want, but the full article is nowhere to be found?  Don't get frustrated!  If the OSU Libraries have the article anywhere, you can frequently find it with just a couple of clicks.  If we don’t have it, we can get it for you. This tutorial will guide you through the process.
