OVERVIEW

Team 200 is charged with overseeing the OSU Libraries web presence. This document details the team's mission, scope, resources, and expected norms.

TEAM NAME

The name 'Team 200' reflects the http code (200) for a successful request (i.e. the request succeeded). It's cool, it's geeky, and it's not an acronym.

MISSION
 
The Mission of Team 200 is as follows:

1. Iteratively review and enhance sections of the web site as requested or needed; as users needs evolve and library resources change
2. Refine a sustainable process for maintaining the OSU Libraries website by continuing to migrate content into the content management system

REPORTING

Team 200 reports to LAMP. The LAMP liaison is: Susan McEvoy

TEAM MEMBERS

Team 200 is comprised of representatives from Emerging Technologies and Services, Library Administration, RIS and IUS.  The team may decide to include others as members at its discretion (and with the agreement of those additional members and their departments). Leadership of the team rotates yearly among the team members.

The team currently is: Susan McEvoy, Margaret Mellinger, Stefanie Buck, Philip Vue and Kim Griggs

COMMUNICATION

Team 200 is responsible for gathering input from throughout the OSU Libraries. Team 200 is responsible for disseminating its work to OSU Libraries. To help with communication, Team 200 will utilize a public discussion list, a wiki, and other tools as appropriate.

The team will record action items at each meeting, and will record progress on the previous meeting's action items.  From this information, Team 200 will produce a report outlining its main activities and accomplishments on a quarterly basis.  This report will be disseminated to LAMP, and the All Staff and Faculty.  In addition, the team will provide additional updates including draft reports of research, summaries of information gathered, and other information as needed.

RESOURCES

Team 200 shall request resources as needed. Resources may include software, books, and other information materials, people, consulting, etc. In addition, team members may request resources to attend conferences or do site visits to gather information.  Requests for resources from specific library departments, such as people, may be made to the appropriate people and/or department heads. Requests for new resources, such as software, books, travel funds, etc., may be made to the team's LAMP liaison.

An additional resource for Team 200 is the Libraries' Usability team (UTeam).

TIMELINE

Team 200 will maintain a timeline for the major projects undertaken by the team.
